Volkswagen is producing 14 models in Kaluga. The current production includes the following models: Volkswagen Golf, Jetta, Passat and Passat CC, as well as Skoda Fabia, Superb, Octavia and Octavia Tour, VW Tiguan and VW Touareg.

Starting from July, Volkswagen will produce four new light commercial vehicles in its plant in Kaluga (Russia):

- Passenger and cargo-passenger Caddy

- Cargo-passenger Transporter

- Minibuses Caravelle and Multivan

According to the company, the total production is forecasted to 1000 Caddy and 700 Transporter.

But launch of production LCV will unlikely give an appreciable increase to the common sales Volkswagen in Russia, indeed the market of commercial motor cars fell stronger, than automobile. Sales LCV Volkswagen, according to data of the Association of European business, in the first six month decreased by 38% (up to 2893 pieces.), while cars - grew on 4%.

Last year Kaluga Volkswagen plant produced 62,000 cars with a projected capacity of 150,000 cars per year.

Volkswagen will be able to import furnishing for LCV on preferential duty (0-3% instead of 15%) – thanks to special regime in Kaluga region. And duty to importation of new motor car accounts for 30%.

In the long term on Kaluga plant it is supposed to issue and Audi, decision should be taken by the autumn, according to the press-secretary Audi Russia Anna Trofimova.
